Seniors’ section
The section has reserved tees on Thursday mornings weekly and runs qualifying competitions (weather and course conditions allowing). There are 2 Divisions based on handicap level, with cash prizes and ending with a few drinks and good company in the Round Bar.
Annual subscription to the section is £5, with a Thursday weekly subscription of £5, which includes a “2s” competition and cash prizes.
During the summer the section offers
Nine matches both home and away against local clubs.
Two away days (subsidised).
Summer knockout competition.
Senior Open which runs just after the Manor Trophy with the course in its best condition.
During the winter the section offers
Fun games with different golf formats being played.
Subsidised Christmas Dinner for all section members.
The section is led by the Seniors Captain, Wally Smith who is supported by a committee to ensure the smooth running of the section. The members support a local charity selected each year by the Captain. For further information on the Seniors’ Section or to join please do come along on a Thursday morning. Registration to play is from 07:45 to 08:30 in the Round Bar or alternatively, contact the club directly.
